Our Privacy Policy  


This policy describes our approach to collecting, storing and using any data we have about you and your rights in respect of that data. 


What are my rights?

What data do we collect? 


We do not collect any data about you that you do not voluntarily provide us. This may be through our web enquiry form, email, telephone or in person. To carry out our services we need to collect certain data about you such as: 

  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone number and email address
  • Details of any properties you have discussed with us or engaged us to provide services for, including that property’s address, market value, number of bedrooms, floor area, condition concerns, your plans for the property etc. 


How do we use your data? 

Any data collected will only be used for the purposes of delivering our services to you, unless we agree otherwise. This may include holding your details in a database and on emails etc. Under no circumstances will we sell or otherwise transfer your data to any third party except as required in the usual carrying out of our services, or as required under UK law. 


Cookies

Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive. We use “cookies” to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.


Log Data

We follow a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website and gathering demographic information. 


What if we hold incorrect data about you? 

We endeavour to ensure that our data is up to date and accurate. However, if you notice any of the data we have is incorrect, we ask that you please let us know so we can update this. 


How long do we keep your data? 

We are legally required to keep records of the services provided to you for up to 6 years, therefore, we shall keep any data collected via communications and during our inspections securely for 6 years, after which time all data shall be securely destroyed. 


How do we keep your data safe? 

We may store your data in an online cloud-based storage service, which is provided by a third party. We use best endeavours to ensure that any data stored online is transferred and kept securely and is not accessible by anyone except those authorised to see/ use it, this includes any subprocesses we may be working with to carry out our business services e.g. Software providers/ IT support services.  


What about sensitive data? 

We do not collect any data on sensitive subjects, such as your race, ethnicity, gender, political opinions, religious beliefs, health or sexual orientation. 


Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect any personal identifiable information from children under the age of 18. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will endeavour to promptly remove such information from our records.
